A World Worth Saving:
Lenten Spiritual Practices for Action
Lent is a season to deepen our understanding and practice of our Christian faith. Instead of giving something up, we are invited to take something on this Lent: to take on new or renewed practices to deepen our faith in Christ Jesus.
Our Lenten worship and education series will focus on Christian spiritual practices, and will invite us anew to practice our Christian faith and traditions through our actions. Throughout Lent, we will be invited to grow in our prayer life by praying about daily news reports, discovering the needs around us, and responding with love and compassion.
We will discover ways to:
* serve others
* feed the hungry
* seek justice and fight injustice
* offer healing
* extend friendship
While we will introduce the practices in worship on Sundays in Lent, we encourage you to come to our Wednesday night Adult Education events to fully explore the practices in the intimacy of a small group setting. Please join us to deepen your practice of our Christian faith this Lent.
