Second Church Partners with Paisley Farm to Feed Local Families
Tuesday's 8 -9 am Starting Aug. 4
A small committee whose origin is this year's Adult Lenten Series is partnering with Paisley Farm to glean vegetables for donation to Emmaus House in Haverhill.
Summer squash should be ready to harvest starting in early-August and this will be followed by cucumbers and then green and yellow beans.
Join us to pick a bushel of vegetables once a week on Tuesdays (rain date is Thursday) from 8 to 9 am starting on Aug. 4. The plan is to park at the church at 8 am to pick up boxes and then walk as a group to Paisley Farm. When we fill our quota, the vegetables will be delivered to Emmaus House! Our mission to make a difference by feeding the hungry is becoming a reality and we joyfully invite you to share in this experience with others in our congregation. Participants, should wear a hat and bring water. We will provide bug spray if you need it.
We look forward to the fellowship, the communal effort, and the joy of making a difference.
